Life Cycle Inventory (LCI)

The second phase of an LCA: compiling every input and output of the system per functional unit — energy, chemicals, materials, water, emissions to air, water and soil, and waste. It is usually the most time-consuming part of a study. AWARE’s study cases collect this data from operating plants, and the project will publish it as a shared database.
